With proper maintenance the durability of FDN pumps is very high. The maintenance must take into account the elements such as motor bearings, gaskets, mechanical seal, etc.
Cataphoresis
In all our standard DN, FDN and AP cast iron pumps, we apply a cataphoresis treatment to all components in contact with water (volute, impeller, pre-filter, etc.). Cataphoresis guarantees a much higher corrosion resistance than the primers and paints used to supply cast iron on the market.
